The Knights and Ninjas come out to play at Swordplay September 2009!!!

This September we have been privillaged to be under the instruction of some of our collegues in the re-enactment and stage combat industry in the art of double handed weapons from the East and West.

Our first guest instructor was

Paul Wagner

From Stoccata School of Defense. Paul took us through the English Longsword in the style of George Silver. Going through a variety of parries and attacks used for killing then applying these movements into Theatrical Broadsword.

Our second guest instructor was

Andrew Beattie

From Bujikan Sydney Metro Dojos. Andrew took us through the Japanese sword and martial art of Bujikan. Going through a variety of parries, attacks and disarms with the Bokken and Shini used for killing then applying these movements using his stunt and theatrical skills for Theatrical Katana.
